Phillipians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

CrossPointe Prayer Chain

The CrossPointe Prayer Chain exists to connect people with the power and person of God through confidential prayer. We believe in the power of prayer and feel it is scriptural, necessary, effective and foundational to all that we attempt to do.

The prayer chain is a group of men and women of all ages who pray for the needs of others. Some of the prayer requests are for those of us at CrossPointe, including our missionaries; some are for friends and family. Requests are confidential and typically focus on health concerns, salvation, spiritual growth, guidance, relationship difficulties, church needs, job decisions, etc. Requests are passed along by telephone and email on a daily basis.

There are few things more exciting than experiencing God through answered prayer! If you are a member or regular attender of CrossPointe and would like to become a member of the Prayer Chain or if you would like to request prayer, please send an email to prayer@crosspointeaustin.org.

CrossPointe's Annual Prayer and Fasting Weekend

Early each year, we unite as a church to humble ourselves before God, confess our sin, honor Him, and seek His direction for our lives and our church. During this time, our pastors, elders and church staff lead us in a time of fasting and private and corporate prayer.

There are several ways to participate: you may join in by fasting however the Lord leads you and /or you may participate in one or all of the corporate prayer and worship opportunities. During the weekend, there is a 48-hour period during which there is continuous intercessory prayer. We divide up the 48-hour period into 15-minute slots of time and ask people to pray around the clock. You may commit to one or more of these 15-minute time slots to pray for our church while you are at home or work. This event has been very powerful in the life of CrossPointe and we encourage everyone to participate in this intimate time with our Lord and one another.

We want to remind each and every one of you how important you are to our Heavenly Father and the work that He is doing here on earth. In The Believer's Secret of Intercession, Andrew Murray states that intercession (appealing to the Lord on others' behalf) is the great and fundamental need of the Church. Murray believed that it is in response to our prayers for each other and for the perishing world that God's blessings are brought down from heaven and that the power of the Holy Spirit is made known. We have definitely caught glimpses of this, haven't we? Every time you pray for someone else, their life is being blessed and transformed in ways that you may never have thought possible. In addition, you are playing an important part in God's will being done here on earth as it is in heaven. Can it get any better than that? Isn't it exciting that God invites us to participate with Him in accomplishing His plan of redemption!
